Logs
Logs are used to troubleshoot issues with Seanime. Learn where to find them.
Troubleshooting
When something unexpected happens (app crashes or error occurs), find the latest log file (either terminal or scanner) and copy its content to privatebin.net or pastebin.com before asking for help as these are needed for troubleshooting.
Where to find the logs
In the data directory
All logs are stored in the Seanime data directory, under the logs
folder.
Reminder
The default location of the data directory depends on your operating system. ("%APPDATA%\Roaming\Seanime" or "%APPDATA%\Seanime" on Windows, "~/Library/Application Support/Seanime" on macOS, etc.)
In the app
You can also access the logs from the app itself. Go the settings page and click on the Logs
tab.
Reminder
You won't see the latest terminal log file for the current session in the app because it is actively being written. You will need to restart the server to see it.
Scanner logs
These log files are created each time you scan/refresh your anime library. They contain more information than scan summaries.
Terminal logs
These log files are created each time you launch Seanime and are continuously written to during the lifetime of the server.
